My favorite postcard printer (it's Mitchell's core business). Museum-quality at incredible prices (2,000 full color cards for $269). Hand-holding oriented, too.

Jakob Nielsen is the planet's longest-running authority on how to make websites easy to use. His own website is as bare as a shoebox. Every two weeks he publishes a new Alertbox column (he'll send it to you as an e-newsletter, if you choose), where he offers his sensible, scientific, and au courant opinion on something webby.

Visual Thesaurus

Every born writer I've recommended this to has fallen addictively in love. I use this online thesaurus every day. It helps me think as well as write. There is nothing remotely like it. Try it just once -- and you'll see what a powerful and bizarrely entertaining tool this is. Look up the word good, for instance. Wait for it to fully unfold. Don't be surprised if you blurt out somethink like Oh my god! Trust me, you aren't the first. Visual Thesaurus is TRULY amazing. It's like rediscovering the English language.

Tom Ahern, tagline judge
| |
Nancy Schwartz has asked me to help judge her wildly popular Tagline Awards Program in the summer of 2010. Of course, I said yes. And I am advertising that fact because, of course, I am unbribable. Although some judges like homemade fudges; just saying. Download her 2009 Nonprofit Tagline Report.
